SC2 has a lot to be proud of...starting
with how we began, to where we are today,
to what the future holds.
The history of SC2
In 1983, SC2 began business as Superior
Consolidated Industries in Tremont,
Illinois and we began doing CAT world-wide
dealer returns in 1987.
Starting in 1988, we became a 100% employee-owned
company, a fact that makes us very proud.
In 1997 we expanded our services enough
to begin doing business in a 1 million
sq. ft. facility in Delavan, Illinois.
In 2000, we had grown enough to open
two locations in East Peoria, Illinois.
And then, by December 2002, we saw a
need to change our company name to SC2
in order to realign with our updated
Corporate identity and image.
And
thus began a new beginning...
SC2 today
Within
the last three years, SC2 has grown
considerably. We acquired a company
called
NuAir
and began Tire and Wheel Assembly, with
both facilities residing in Normal,
Illinois. Today, the
hundreds of dedicated employees at our
9 business locations have a personal
investment in SC2, and in your projects.
As each one of us owns a piece of the
business, we cooperate to achieve the
growth, expansion and diversification
necessary to write the next proud chapter
of SC2 history. Our number one
goal is that only our very best leaves
our doors.
We have implemented
ISO 9001:2000 Quality Certification
and adopted Six Sigma. Six Sigma
allows us not only to improve on current
processes and functions, but also to
implement error-free and lean start-ups.
We utilize
technology to ensure integration
and information-sharing among all of
our 9 facilities.
The
