St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. This year, their 41st Annual Telethon was held on Saturday, August 4th at the Peoria Civic Center. At this year’s telethon, SC2 presented a donation check for $15,000!
As a company, SC2 has been contributing to St. Jude since 1992 when an employees’ nephew, Brody, was diagnosed with cancer. St. Jude creates more clinical trials for cancer than any other children’s hospital — turning laboratory discoveries into lifesaving treatments, that benefit patients every day. Because of those clinical trials, Brody has been in remission since 1992 and just celebrated his 27th birthday!
SC2 owes a special shout out to all of the SC2 employees who donated a portion of their paycheck towards this worthy cause! Because of the donations and support from local communities and businesses like SC2 no family ever pays St. Jude for anything. Thank you to each and every employee who helped make this possible!
